Learning about what the Irish Congress of Trade Unions does

The Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) is the apex body of the trade union movement.

We are the oldest civic institution in Ireland and trade unions are the only type of organisation whose entire reason for being, is to ensure that workers are not exploited and to improve working conditions for everyone.

We recognise that students and young people don't always know where to go or who to ask for information about their rights.  That is why we have developed YouthConnect, a new programme to raise awareness among students and young people of their rights and ensure exploitation doesn't become an issue.
